Free-to-play sensation Warframe heading to Nintendo Switch

The sensational free-to-play smash Warframe is heading to Nintendo Switch!

This latest version of the shooter, that first hit PC back in 2013, was announced at the game’s fan convention, Tennocon.

The development of Warframe on Nintendo Switch is being handled by Panic Button, who also helped port Rocket League, DOOM, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to Switch. Clearly, they’re a talented bunch.

Warframe has become one of the biggest free-to-play shooters in the world, with over 38 million registered players. The sublime sci-fi world, filled with space ninjas called the Tenno who fight to restore order, lets you wield swords and guns at the same time, creating a fast and thrilling experience.

That’s on top of the regular content updates that keep things fresh for returning fans. For example, last November’s Plains of Eidolon expansion added an open-world area for players to explore, while the next expansion coming to the game, Fortuna, was shown off during Tennocon 2018.

While we’re still waiting for a release date, are you excited to take Warframe on-the-go?
