Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has been announced by Ubisoft!
The original saw you looting and shooting your way through Manhattan, which had been hit by a viral disease. We loved playing through the story with a group of mates, as well as the unbearably tense journeys into the Dark Zone. When you ventured into it, you could take on other players as a squad to see if you could find the most valuable items of loot.
The sequel to the co-op open world shooter is being worked on by original developer Massive Entertainment, along with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Bucharest.
Massive have supported The Division since release, and will continue to do so in the run up to its sequel. The biggest addition will be a new type of achievement called ‘Shields’. Earning them will unlock additional content in in The Division 2, which gives us a good reason to head back to the wintry original.
We won’t have to wait too long to discover more about The Division 2, as Ubisoft have confirmed that it’ll be at this year’s E3.
