The adorably goofy Goat Simulator is coming to Nintendo Switch!
Actually, there are quite a few amazing indie games on their way to Nintendo’s console in 2019, according to an Indie Highlights video from Nintendo. Some of them are familiar faces, but there are a lot of newcomers too which are well worth keeping an eye out for.
But let’s start with our old friend Goat Simulator: The GOATY. This delightfully wacky game allows you to run around as a goat (among other things) and cause absolute mayhem wherever you go, be that in the city, hanging off a passing helicopter, or floating around in space. You can even goat-crash weddings. Better still, the Switch version comes with the entire current roster of DLC, so there’s a whole stack of goat-themed shenanigans in store.
One of the other new games that’s been announced is SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech. You’ll be exploring a fantasy steampunk world crammed with strange creatures both friendly and not, unearthing fabulous treasures, and testing your mettle against enormous beasts. Use the cards that fate deals you to survive!
On top of that, Unruly Heroes, whose developers also worked on Rayman Legends, is another one to watch. Go it alone or team up in co-op mode to swing, dash, and leap your way across a vibrant fantasy world as four unlikely (and truly unruly) heroes embark on an epic adventure.
But the fun doesn’t end there. There are nine indie games in the video to look forward to this year across a whole range of genres, from the physics-based fun of When Ski Lifts Go Wrong to the rhythm-based zombie-shooting romp that is Double Kick Heroes.
Which of 2019’s indie lineup are you looking forward to the most?
