With the release just around the corner, we’ve collected everything you need to know about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order so you can get caught up and focus on your Jedi training.

When is the release date?

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order lands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 15 November 2019.

What’s it about?

Taking place a few years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, Fallen Order places you in the robes of Cal Kestis, one of the last remaining Jedi padawans, after the order was purged by the evil Galactic Empire.

Cal must go on the run from an Imperial Inquisitor after he is spotted using the force by an imperial droid. His journey soon sees him collide with the Rebel Alliance, as he gathers a ragtag team of allies to make a stand against the Dark Side.

What characters will I meet?

Everything we know Star Wars - Saw

Fallen Order has a huge cast of new characters along with the new Jedi apprentice Cal, starting with his mentor Cere Junda and sidekick droid BD-1. Fans of Rogue One will notice a familiar face in the form of Saw Gerrera, the rebel extremist portrayed by Forest Whitaker.

There’s also a new villain, the Second Sister, a ruthless imperial Inquisitor. This character is kitted out in Kylo-Ren-style armour and wields a double-bladed lightsaber. She is currently shrouded in mystery but we suspect we’ll learn plenty more about her in Fallen Order. Could she have a connection to the Jedi?

What’s the gameplay like?

The gameplay of Fallen Order is a whole new spin on Jedi action that draws from pioneers of the action-adventure genre including Dark Souls, The Legend of Zelda, and Uncharted.

While lightsaber combat has been a feature in past Star Wars games, Fallen Order takes it to a whole new level of authenticity with precise and fluid lightsaber-play. You’ll have to use various tools of the Jedi arts to survive, including parries, dodges, and of course, force powers.

There will also be plenty of exploration of the various planets you’ll visit as you carry out Cal’s quest. You’ll use the force to traverse wild and treacherous environments, and even scale huge enemy vehicles in Shadow of the Colossus-style boss battles.

Does it have multiplayer?

There is no multiplayer in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which also means you won’t need an online subscription to play it. Respawn were dedicated to making a superb single-player adventure with Fallen Order, but if you’ve got a hankering for some multiplayer Star Wars action, there is still Dice’s stunning Battlefront series.

Which edition should I get?
