Sony have plans for a new PlayStation, according to the president of the company.
Speaking to the Financial Times, President Kenichiro Yoshida said: “At this point, what I can say is it’s necessary to have a next-generation hardware.”
While no name for this new hardware has been revealed yet, it’s the first official indicator that Sony are working on a PlayStation 4 follow-up.
This follows hot on the heels of Microsoft’s announcement of Project xCloud, a streaming service that will allow you to play Xbox games on almost any device.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 is one of the best selling consoles of all-time, with over 80 million consoles being sold around the world.
