A new Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer gives us a look at some of the intimidating enemies we’ll be taking on.
Some of the highlights include a bull with a burning log strapped to its horns, a giant grey ape that rampages through a river, and a grunt wiedling an old-fashioned mortar.
There’s also a little more context given to the story, with the protagonist’s mentor, Owl, telling us that we must “defend your master with your life, and if he’s taken, bring him back at any cost.” As you can imagine, said master is taken, and getting him back will test your shinobi skills.
We recently went hands on with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and we’re left hugely impressed by its combat, and how it remixes Dark Souls’s formula, stating “It takes what you know about Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and twists it in ways that delight. Yes, you’ll die a fair bit in Sekiro, but that’s part of the fun.”
With only 11 days to go before Sekiro’s release on 22 March, we’re more excited than ever to see what’s next from the team behind Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Obviously though, there’ll be some patience required…
