Rocket League officially gets full cross-play

Rocket League Crossplay

Great news Rocket League fans, from today, PlayStation 4 players can join their Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC mates thanks to full cross-play.

Cross-play is enabled by default, so you’ll now be able to be randomly added into all game types with players on other platformer. On top of that, a cross-platform party system will be heading to the game in the coming months, which will let you party up with mates playing Rocket League on a different platform.

For now though, you’ll be able to join specific players on a different platform by setting up an online Private Match. Has your PS4 owning pal been trash-talking you about your Rocket League skills for too long? They’ve got nowhere left to hide…

Psyonix’s Vice President of Publishing, Jeremy Dunham, announced the news on the PlayStation Blog, saying: “On behalf of the entire team, THANK YOU for your passion and persistence as we continue to do our best to make Rocket League the best experience we can.”
