Think you could design a real-life battle royale game? Here’s a unique opportunity to do exactly that thanks to online retailer Hush Hush.
They’ve teamed up with an anonymous millionaire to create a real-life battle royale experience, and they’re looking for a gamemaker who understands the intricacies of these games to help out with the arena’s design.
There’s a staggering £45,000 salary on offer for just six weeks of work, in which you’ll be turning said millionaire’s private island into a battle royale arena worthy of the greatest champions. Applications are open until April 22, so if you think you’ve got what it takes, what have you got to lose by applying?
Alternatively, if you’re more interested in pitting your wits against 99 other real life competitors, here’s how this experience is going to work. You’ll be set loose in the aforementioned arena armed with an Airsoft gun, ammo, and touch sensitive armour, which will presumably be necessary to provide proof of your unfortunate fake demise.
You’ll then have three days in the arena to survive the game – playing for 12 hours during the day, and then camping out overnight. It’s not quite as relentless as Fortnite, but then, you still have to be the last one standing. Only 100 people will actually get to play though, so you’d better cross your fingers pretty darn tightly that you’ll be selected. We’re rooting for you.
Oh, and best of all, there’s a whopping £100,000 prize available for the winner. As if you needed an incentive…
