Meet Kasumi

Persona 5 Royal Kasumi

The star of this updated version is Kasumi, the new playable character who almost looks like a mirror image of the protagonist, Joker. Kasumi is a first-year student at Shujin Academy, and an accomplished gymnast, but also leads a secret double life. When night falls, Kasumi teams up with the Phantom Thieves to bring their corrupt targets to justice. As with all playable characters, Kasumi has her own Persona who she summons in battle. Kasumi’s Persona is Cendrillion, who was inspired by the fairy-tale princess Cinderella.

Hang out in the Thieves’ Den

One of the loveliest things about the Persona games is simply hanging out and getting to know the improbably likeable cast of high school misfits. In Persona 5 Royal, you can get your chill on in an all-new customisable area called the Thieves’ Den. You can take in unlocked cutscenes, listen to music, or purchase new decorations for your den with in-game currency.

Grapple through Palaces

This new piece of equipment will help you reach new areas where you will find bonuses as well as new collectable items, Will Seeds. You will also find new Personas to add to your squad as you battle your way through Persona 5 Royal’s devious dungeons.

See the sights of Kichijoji

If you grow weary of exploring Persona 5 Royal’s twisted mind-dungeons, you can always spend some time drinking in the sights and sounds of Tokyo. In Royal, you have a whole new area to explore, Kichijoji, which is packed full of shops, restaurants, and delightful side activities such as billiards and darts.

Enjoy an enhanced story

Persona 5 Royal story

Persona 5 has a spectacular story, filled with shocks, twists, and (spoiler alert) one of gaming’s greatest betrayals. In Royal, things will play out a little differently with the addition of new scenarios that expand on the existing story. On top of this, new animations and menus have been added to spice up the game’s visual flair.

If you can’t wait to return to the wonderful world of Persona 5 Royal, make sure to place your pre-order to nab a beautiful steelbook case and an exclusive dynamic theme for your PS4.
