1. God of War

Sony Santa Monica’s reinvention of the God of War franchise was a revelation when it launched back in 2018, effortlessly introducing Kratos to the world of Norse mythology while also updating the series’ gameplay mechanics to complement the more cinematic feel. We can’t wait to see what Kratos and Atreus get up to on next-gen hardware. If you’re looking forward to the further adventures of Kratos, why not get caught up on his story so far?
2. Sea of Thieves

There’s nothing better than shipping out with your crew to cause chaos on the high seas. Sea of Thieves’ open world sea-faring brought us hours of joy, and we can only imagine what fearsome sea monsters we might encounter in a sequel on the Xbox Series X.
3. Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn was one of the finest new franchises to emerge this generation and we’re desperate to find out what happens in the next chapter of Aloy’s story.
4. Marvel’s Spider-Man

With Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac delivered arguably the quintessential web-slinging video game, finding the perfect balance between action, exploration, and story. Of course, there are still plenty more Spider-Man stories to tell, so let’s hope we can return to NYC on the PS5. If you fancy yourself a Spider-buff, why not test your knowledge with our Spider-Man villains quiz?
5. Cuphead

Cuphead was a stunning tribute to old-school animation all wrapped up in a tough-as-nails shoot ‘em up experience. In fact, Cuphead was so tough, it earned a palce on our hardest games ever made list. We would love to see more cuphead on next-gen consoles… but could we get a Very Easy mode this time!?
6. Bloodborne

Speaking of tough-as-nails, it wouldn’t be a sequels wish-list without Fromsoftware’s masterpiece, Bloodborne. Even though it’s possibly the creepiest setting in the whole Souls series (and that’s saying something) we’re still dying to return to the city of Yarnham.
