7 fantastic video game themed LEGO Ideas

Have you heard about LEGO Ideas? It’s a website where budding Master Builders can submit their ideas for new LEGO sets, and there are some extremely cool video game themed creations.

If these big ideas get enough support, there’s a chance that they might become a reality and actually get manufactured, which means our dreams of seeing our favourite video games as LEGO brick sets and our favourite movies as LEGO video games might one day come true.

So in no particular order, here are a few of our favourite video game themed creations…

1. 1980s Video Arcade

Step back in time to the 1980s and play your favourite arcade games all day – there are plenty to choose from inside.

2. PAC-MAN

This arcade classic contains everything from the chomping yellow hero himself through to all four ghosts, and there’s even a cute little cherry to find. We also think the way they’ve made the display board look just like the original maze is really clever.

3. Playable Tetris

This colourful creation wins extra brownie points in our books because it’s actually playable. There’s an open slot at the top, meaning that you can carefully drop the blocks (sorry, Tetrominoes) in to try to complete a row.

4. Game Boy Color

This classic Game Boy Color console comes in a snazzy shade of red, with two game cartridges and a neat little stand so you can display it with pride.

5. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Stable

This stunning stable contains horses (naturally), a fire pit with recipes and plenty of ingredients to show off your cooking credentials, and a cozy inn for Link to catch up on some well-earned rest and relaxation. There are even signs that a Korok may be nearby…

6. Subnautica: Reaper Leviathan Attack

This spooky submarine set sends us deep beneath the waves on an alien planet, where a ravenous Reaper Leviathan is waiting to sink its teeth into anyone foolish enough to get in its way. Thank goodness it’s only LEGO, but it still looks like it could pack a punch.

7. Sonic Mania: Green Hill Zone

Everyone’s favourite speedy blue hedgehog is back in LEGO form, and we honestly don’t know why this collaboration isn’t an official thing already. This lovingly-recreated version of the Green Hill Zone features springs to bounce on, rings to collect, and a grinning Dr Eggman to battle.
