Halo Infinite has been announced!
Microsoft announced during their E3 press conference that Master Chief will once again be returning to action. The next entry in the celebrated first-person shooter series will take the superhuman soldier on “his greatest adventure yet” as he attempts to save humanity.
The brief trailer didn’t show much in terms of what to expect, but it did showcase how powerful the new Slipspace engine is.
While Halo Wars 2 released in early 2017, Halo Infinite will be the first mainline entry in the series in over three years. 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians, which released exclusively on Xbox One, had players alternating between the roles of protagonists Master Chief and Spartan Locke. The shooter was 343 Industries’ second crack at the Halo series, and showed that they understood what made the shooter so popular in the first place.
