A new set of special FUT cards, Future Stars, will launch in FIFA 19’s Ultimate Team on Friday 18 January.
The cards will highlight potential superstars of the game who are under 23 and not yet established in their squad by giving them a huge ratings boost.
EA Sports announced the first three players who’ll be getting Future Stars cards are Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr, and Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt.

Foden jumps from an overall rating of 73 to 88, while Vinicis Jr and De Ligt’s ratings go from 77 and 80 respectively to a commanding 92. We’re terrified of having to go toe-to-toe with them…
More players are set to be revealed before they go live in Ultimate Team on Friday, although EA are yet to reveal how you’ll be able to get these cards. We’re desperate to find out if they’ll be in packs or squad building challenges, as these players are set to shake up the game, both in real life and FIFA Ultimate Team.
