e3 2020 conferences schedule

E3 2020 may not be going ahead in its usual form this summer, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty to look out for in the world of big gaming news.

Host of The Game Awards Geoff Keighley has launched a brand new event called Summer Game Fest this year, which promises to bring together sixteen huge gaming names (including Microsoft, Sony, Activision, Bethesda, and more) for four whole months of gaming-related excitement.

And with special developer livestreams such as EA Play and a Cyberpunk 2077 themed broadcast from CD Projekt Red to look out for too, this summer promises to be jam-packed with exciting new stuff.

And to make staying on top of the latest announcements a breeze, we’ve gathered together all the confirmed conferences we know about so far into one handy timeline. We’ve even converted the timings into UK time too.

Xbox 20/20

7 May, 16:00 BST

The first of the monthly Xbox 20/20 conferences took place on 7 May, giving us our first glimpse of Xbox Series X gameplay and a ton of new games. We also got a deeper look at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which, we might add, contains some of the most fabulous beards we’ve ever seen.

Sunrise #1

12 May, 17:00 BST

Geoff Keighley will be hosting the surprise reveal of a new game… and for now that’s all we know.

CD Projekt Red

11 June, time TBC

Join CD Projekt Red for a special broadcast called Night City Wire, which is all about Cyberpunk 2077. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a Keanu Reeves appearance.

EA Play

12 June, 00:00 BST

Electronic Arts are holding their EA Play event wholly online, where they’ll be unveiling a selection of brand new games. There’ll be special community content to keep an eye out for too.

The next of the monthly Xbox 20/20 conferences, though nothing’s been revealed about its contents just yet.

Xbox 20/20

TBC July

Xbox focuses this time on games from Xbox Game Studios, with first glimpses of gameplay and brand new game reveals too.

Ubisoft

TBC

While there aren’t any concrete details just yet, Ubisoft are looking into running a “digital experience” at some stage, where hopefully we’ll get to see more of games like Watch Dogs: Legion and Gods & Monsters.

Sony

TBC

Sony ran their own separate event last year, and with the PlayStation 5 due out this winter, there’s a good chance we’ll get to hear more news about it and its games soon.

Nintendo

TBC

Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for another Nintendo Direct with sneak peeks at new and upcoming games this summer. Please, please tell us more about the Breath of the Wild sequel….

Square Enix

TBC

Square Enix usually have something to whet our appetites around E3 each year, so while we’re still waiting on an official confirmation, we’ve got our fingers crossed that there’ll be a livestream at some stage.

And that’s all that’s been confirmed for now, but keep checking back with us for the latest additions to the timeline.
