Microsoft revealed the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 at E3 2019, an improved version of their top-of-the-line joypad.

The Series 2 features a rubberized grip and shorter hair-trigger locks for faster firing. It also enables you to store three controller profiles, so you can easily switch between set-ups for different types of games, like Forza Horizon 4 and Fortnite.

The thumbsticks now feature adjustable levels of tension, and overall there are far more ways to customise the controller to your exact specifications.

The joypad also features Bluetooth connectivity and, perhaps most excitingly of all, an internal rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 40 hours, along with a detachable charging dock. So finally players can say goodbye to switching out AA batteries for good.

The controller will launch in November, and the US price is $179.99, but there’s currently no word on UK pricing.
