Microsoft’s Flight Simulator has made a welcome return at E3 2019.

The last entry in Microsoft’s much loved and much missed Flight Simulator series was Flight Simulator X, way back in 2006. The once-ubiquitous series has been very quiet since then, bar a Steam port in 2014, so it was a huge surprise to see a new entry debut at Microsoft’s E3 conference.

Dubbed simply Microsoft Flight Simulator, the new game looks utterly stunning, and features 4K support. The footage showed light aircraft flying over high-fidelity cities and oceans and performing loop the loops. We also saw real-life locations, including a breathtaking representation of Dubai. We’re hoping to see much more of the game in the near future.
