Square Enix are bringing Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition to Nintendo Switch this autumn.

This definitive version of the single-player JRPG contains all the content of the original game released in 2018 for PS4 and PC. However, it also adds new character-specific stories, fully orchestrated music, and the ability to switch between HD and 16-bit visuals, as well as Japanese and English voiceovers.

Dragon Quest XI S is an enhanced port made specifically for the Nintendo Switch. It’s a coming-of-age story about a 16-year-old boy who discovers he’s the reincarnation of a hero that once saved the world. This burdens him with a great mission that he sets off to complete with a child prodigy, a rude thief, and an entertainer.

The game features turn-based combat and side quests. You’re able to explore its beautiful, crisp fantasy world on foot, in a pirate ship, and on a flying dragon.
